When a client has an active Treatment Plan, you can book their appointment directly from that Treatment Plan. Booking this way connects the appointment to the client’s planned care, so CaseRM can keep track of the Sessions used and the remaining Treatment Plan balance.
Before you start
Before booking the appointment, make sure:
- The client has an Active Treatment Plan.
- The Session you want to book matches the Calendar’s Discipline and Location.
Book an appointment from a Treatment Plan
Follow these steps to book the appointment:
- Go to Calendar.
- Select an available time slot.
- Select the Session you want to book.
- The Session must match the Calendar’s Discipline and Location.
- Select the client’s Case File.
- Click Book from Treatment Plan.
- Select the Treatment Plan you want to use.
- Complete the booking details.
- Click Save.
The appointment is now added to the Calendar. If notifications are enabled, CaseRM will also send the appropriate notifications automatically.
When does the Treatment Plan balance update?
The Treatment Plan balance does not decrease when you book the appointment.
Instead, CaseRM updates the Treatment Plan balance when the appointment status changes to Arrived.
For example: If a Treatment Plan has 10 Sessions remaining and you book an appointment, the balance will still show 10 Sessions. Once the client arrives and the appointment status is changed to Arrived, the Treatment Plan balance is updated to reflect the Session used.
Keep in mind: Booking an appointment reserves the Session, but the Session is not counted as used until the appointment is marked Arrived.
