Import Contacts
Importing contacts is useful when you already have them saved in a CSV or vCard file. This lets you quickly populate CaseRM with groups of contacts – such as referral partners, legal representatives, or family physicians your clients work with.
To keep things organized, create groups before importing. For example, you might create a group called Referrals.
- Go to Contacts.
- On the bottom-left, click on More options next to Import/Export.
- Select Import contacts.
- Click Choose file and browse your local or network folders to locate the file you want to import.
– Supported formats: CSV or vCard.
Tip: After selecting the import file, the system will display the number of contacts in that file that to be imported into CaseRM. - Click the icon next to Assign to Group and choose one or more groups.
Tip: Assigning contacts to groups helps keep them organized. - Click Continue.
You’re done! A summary will appear showing how many contacts were imported and which group(s) they were added to. Click Close to return to your contact list.
Export Contacts
You can export all contacts or limit the export to one or more specific groups.
- Go to Contacts.
- In the bottom-left corner, click More options next to Import/Export.
- Then, select Export contacts.
- Under Select contacts to export, choose either All contacts or Groups.
If you choose Groups, the system will require you to select one or more groups. - Under Choose output format, select CSV or vCard.
- Click Continue.
- Choose the location where you want to save the file, and rename it if needed.
- Click Save.
- Locate the folder where you saved the exported file.
Once finished, locate the folder where you saved the exported file.
