Using AI Scribe

AI Scribe can help turn a conversation with a patient into a chart note. First, start charting and add the Notes component to your chart note. For more on creating and working with chart notes, see Creating and Working with Chart Notes.

Important: Obtain the patient’s consent before recording.

Record a conversation

1. Move your mouse over or click inside the Notes component. The Transcribe option appears.

2. Click Transcribe to open the Transcribe window.

3. Check that the correct microphone is selected in the drop-down at the top-right. Select your microphone if needed.

4. Click the microphone button to start transcribing. The button changes to Pause.

5. Begin your conversation with the patient. When you need a break or have finished, click Pause.

Generate and insert the note

1. Click Generate to create a chart note from the transcript.

2. To review or continue working with the transcript, select the Transcript tab. From there, you can discard the transcript and restart if needed.

3. To return to your generated note, select the Results tab.

4. Review the note, then click Insert into Chart.

After the note is inserted into your chart note, you can make changes in Caserm as needed.

That’s all—happy scribing!
